I live in a “safe” neighborhood. Do I really need home security products?
The unfortunate truth is that bad things can happen, even in “safe” neighborhoods. The FBI estimates there’s a home break-in every 14.5 seconds, resulting in over $15 billion in loss and damages annually. Aside from financial and legal strain, break-ins also make homeowners feel violated and unsafe on their own property. You can prevent yourself from becoming part of this number by investing in affordable security solutions.

Wireless Home Protection System FAQs
How long do you have to enter and exit before the alarm sounds?
The alarm is pre-programmed to allow 30 seconds to enter and 20 seconds to exit before the alarm sounds. You can change the default setting to allow more time to enter/exit or use the key fob to disarm the system.
How many sensors can the Smart Panel support?
An unlimited number of sensors can be supported by the system added to different zones in your house.
What wireless range should I expect from sensors?
The range will vary depending on the type of structure; however, in an open space, the sensors should be capable of transmitting a signal up to 500′ from the Smart Panel. Determine the location of the sensors first and change to a different location for better RF performance.
Do I have to program the Smart Panel?
The Wireless Home Protection System WP-100 is designed for easy installation. The wireless sensors are in a default setting already registered to the Smart Panel and will therefore function immediately after the sensors are powered up. If you choose to buy additional accessories, these will need to be added to your system using the easy-to-follow instructions.
How do I attach my sensors?
Adhesive tape and screws are provided for the purpose of securely mounting these items.
Can I still use the same system if I move?
Yes. The Wireless Home Security System WP-100 is portable. If you move, you can remove your Smart Panel and wireless accessories and re-install them at your new property.
What if I forget my PIN?
If you forget your PIN, press the RESET button inside the battery compartment of the Smart Panel and the PIN will be reset to the factory-default PIN by 1234.
How long does the alarm sound when triggered?
The default setting of the Smart Panel gives an alarm duration of one minute. However, the alarm duration can be increased up to six minutes.
What are the different modes?
ARM mode – Smart Panel siren will sound and flash RED every 1.5 seconds when sensors are triggered.
ALERT mode – Smart Panel will chime and flash GREEN every 1.5 seconds when the sensors are triggered.
HOME mode – The user has decided which zones are placed in ARM mode and which are placed in ALERT (chime) mode. For example, you could set ZONE 1 to ARM and ZONE 2 to ALERT. Whenever a sensor is triggered in ZONE 1 (be it a door/window sensor or motion sensor alarm), the smart panel will set off the alarm after the specified entry delay. If a sensor is triggered in ZONE 2 (be it a door/window sensor or motion sensor), then the smart panel will immediately CHIME because the ZONE is set to ALERT mode.
STANDBY mode – Smart Panel is silent. Siren or chime will not be triggered.
Is there a way to turn off just the motion sensors in certain rooms?
You can’t turn off specific sensors, so you might consider placing the Motion Sensor in its own ZONE, so that you can set it to ALERT vs. ARM while leaving the rest of the door/window alarms in ARM mode.
What are the different zones?
There are eight programmable zones built into the Smart Panel and accessories. These zones allow you to identify where the intrusion is taking place. The zones are designed so you can have multiple sensors in an area or room of the house that you can place into ARM/ALERT/HOME/STANDBY mode.
How do I install the door/window sensors?
There are two parts: the transmitter and the magnet. Mount the transmitter on the fixed surface, such as the door or window frame (adhesive included). Mount the magnet on the movable surface, such as the door or window; ensure the < and > match up.
How do I install the motion sensor?
Hold the mounting template against the wall and mark points for drilling. Drill the holes and insert the wall plugs, attach the bracket to the mounting surface with the screws provided and attach motion sensor to mounting bracket.
How many key fobs can you have installed into the system?
Eight.
